IFNR Saathi
Neurorehabilitation information, guidance and support for people and families living with neurological conditions.
Understand your condition. Find your pathway. Live with greater independence.
Saathi means companion. This platform is educational — it supports, but never replaces, your healthcare team.
How can we help you?
Choose who you are. Saathi will shape the guidance, language and resources around your role.
Find your condition
Every condition will grow into its own dedicated Saathi project — a complete companion with guides, tools and Indian support resources. Live projects are marked Available; the rest are on the way.
No condition matches your search yet.
Try another word or symptom — or use Find support to connect with services while new Saathi projects are built.
The framework is designed to hold 50+ neurological conditions without losing clarity. New Saathi projects plug in as they are clinically reviewed — nothing is published before it is ready.
What would you like help with?
You don't need to know a diagnosis to start. Choose the everyday ability you want to support — Saathi will connect it with the right rehabilitation approaches.
What is neurorehabilitation?
Neurorehabilitation helps the nervous system recover, adapt and work as well as possible after injury or illness. It is not simply exercise — it is a structured, goal-based process guided by trained professionals, with you and your family at the centre. Tap each step to see what happens.

Neurorehabilitation is a loop, not a straight line. Progress is reviewed regularly and goals are updated — recovery can continue for months and years, and support remains valuable at every stage.

Neurorehabilitation in India Coming soon
Finding the right support shouldn't depend on knowing the right people. IFNR is building a verified directory of Indian rehabilitation services, schemes and organisations — each entry reviewed and dated before it appears.
The verified support directory is being built
This section will hold a searchable directory of Indian rehabilitation services, government schemes and support organisations — state by state, condition by condition — with every entry carrying a named reviewer and a "last verified" date before it goes live. Nothing is published here until it clears that review.

About IFNR Saathi
IFNR Saathi is an initiative of the Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR). Its purpose is to make reliable neurorehabilitation information more accessible to people living with neurological conditions, their families, caregivers and professionals across India.
Our mission
To make trustworthy, plain-language neurorehabilitation information freely accessible to every person and family in India living with a neurological condition — and to equip healthcare professionals and communities to support them well.
Our vision
An India where no one navigates a neurological condition without a clear pathway forward — where reliable information, verified local support and a trained rehabilitation workforce are within reach regardless of geography or language.
Governance
- Content is developed and reviewed under IFNR's clinical oversight before publication.
- Every published item carries a named reviewer, a review date and a source.
- Country- and state-specific information (services, schemes, contacts) is verified before it is listed, and re-checked on a schedule.
- IFNR's governing body retains final editorial authority over all content published under the Saathi name.
A message from IFNR's leadership
[Reserved for a welcome message from Dr. Nirmal Surya, President, IFNR — to be written and approved by Dr. Surya directly. No message is drafted on his behalf here.]
The platform is built as an umbrella: one trusted home, with a dedicated, clinically reviewed Saathi companion for each condition.
Our commitments
- No content is published without a named clinical reviewer and a review date.
- We explain — we never diagnose or prescribe. Every page points you back to your healthcare team.
- India-specific resources are listed only after verification, with source and “last verified” dates.
- Language editions are translated and clinically reviewed — never machine-translated without review.
- Personal tools store data only on your own device.

Need urgent help?
Sudden symptoms — such as sudden weakness, difficulty speaking, a severe sudden headache, a fall with injury, breathing difficulty or a seizure — can be medical emergencies. Contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital immediately. IFNR Saathi provides education only and is not an emergency service.
